My interest in wildlife photography started early. At the age of 12, I won the young persons Wallace Heaton photographic competition with a picture of a llama in Ireland. My photographic career then took a back seat for 40 years whilst I pursued a career in textile chemistry. My love of photography has been re-energised over the last fourteen years as a result of spending much time in South Africa, and I have become passionate about photographing its animals and beautiful birds in the wild.
