In a new partnership with East Berkshire College, Rhubarb & Custard's window space is being used by the college Window Dressing department, led by Sue Leadbeater as a "real life" test. This window display was designed by student Sharna Stockdale. A fabulous display and huge thanks from us at Rhubarb And Custard, particularly from Amber - the star of the window !!!
Halid was privileged to be asked to exhibit at this years Wooburn Festival. This is the first time Halid has exhibited a collection of photographs taken in Antelope Canyon, Arizona, USA. All the images were of various views and angles of this magical formation, each one very different and independent of each other, yet all forming a very striking collection when viewed together.

Big CONGRATULATIONS to Micki Aston for her fantastic launch party on the 10th July - a huge success all round ! The gallery was buzzing with well over 50 guests and Micki's photos were fantastically received by everyone! It was particularly nice to see so many big names of the local photographic scene present!

Rhubarb & Custard have donated over £1000 in discounted printing framing and mounting to the "Eton College Charity Photo Exhibition" which was held on the 4th June 2009. The exhibition, organized my Messrs Anatole Sloan and Serge Mosesov raised over £3000 for charity, constituting an outstanding success all round!
The Gallery is also showing the exhibition from the 1st to the 6th June when it shall be open to the general public.
We are proud to announce that Halid has this year been commissioned by Henley Royal Regatta to produce a Limited Edition Collectable Series of photographs to commemorate this year's Regatta. All prints are sold through the official HRR website (hrr.co.uk) and the official merchandise shops at the regatta as well as in the Stewards Enclosure.
A collectable series of 17 images, each one limited to just 50 signed, numbered prints. This impressive collection by photographer Halid K Izzet encapsulates the spirit of Henley Royal Regatta beautifully. From its traditional roots to its modern evolution; from its intense competitiveness to its hedonistic pleasures, Halid’s subject matter and ambidextrous style perfectly depict the atmosphere of one of England’s finest events. Halid owns and manages the Rhubarb & Custard Photo Gallery based in Eton and his work can be seen at www.RhubarbAndCustard.biz.
The Regatta was established at a public meeting in the Town Hall, Henley-on-Thames, on March 26th, 1839, when it was decided that "an annual regatta, under judicious and respectable management, would not only be productive of the most beneficial results to the town of Henley, but from its peculiar attractions would also be a source of amusement and gratification to the neighbourhood, and to the public in general." In 1851 His Royal Highness Prince Albert became the first Royal Patron of the Regatta, since when it has been styled "Henley Royal Regatta".
